Over the last ten years Gordon has spearheaded the development of face-to-face fundraising throughout Europe and North America for over 40 NGOs. Previously he was the fundraiser at AICR, which grew significantly after he introduced F2F fundraising in 1999.

During this period he has spoken widely on face-to-face fundraising and related donor development strategies and he firmly believes that by developing a good retention and thank you system, organisations will benefit from a greater lifetime value from their donors. He is a member or the executive committee of the Institute of Fundraising (Scotland). Gordon was voted 15th most influential person in fundraising in the 2008 edition of Professional Fundraising's annual poll.
